Statement from Arcfra

Arcfra is issuing this statement to clarify recent media coverage regarding Foxconn.

The July 27 report by The Register, initially titled "Foxconn drops VMware, adopts hyperconverged upstart Arcfra for workloads including AI," was not reviewed or approved by Arcfra prior to publication.

Arcfra would like to clarify that certain statements and characterizations in the report were inaccurate and were not provided or confirmed by Arcfra. In particular, Arcfra did not make, authorize or approve the characterization that "Foxconn drops VMware" prior to publication.

Accordingly, the characterization that “Foxconn drops VMware” should not be attributed to, or understood as having been endorsed or confirmed by, Arcfra.

Arcfra has contacted Foxconn to clarify the matter, and has contacted The Register and other outlets that republished the story to request corrections. Arcfra regrets any confusion or misunderstanding that may have resulted from the inaccurate characterization.  

Arcfra does not speak on behalf of Foxconn or make any representation regarding Foxconn’s commercial decisions concerning VMware, which remain matters for Foxconn to determine independently.
