This hands-on, customer-facing role focuses on stable day-to-day operations, routine service delivery, first-line troubleshooting, and timely escalation of complex issues. You will work closely with customer IT teams and Arcfra technical teams as a trusted operational interface.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site day-to-day operational support for Arcfra Enterprise Cloud Platform (AECP) environments.
  • Perform scheduled health checks, preventive maintenance, platform monitoring, and operational reporting.
  • Monitor alerts, events, capacity utilisation, VM status, storage health, and network connectivity.

  • Perform initial diagnosis for incidents involving compute, virtualization, storage, network, or system services.
  • Collect logs, alerts, configuration details, timestamps, and environmental information for incident analysis and escalation.
  • Escalate complex or high-severity issues to Customer Support, Professional Services, Engineering, or relevant third parties in a timely manner.
  • Follow established SOPs, change-management processes, incident-management processes, and customer-site security requirements.
  • Maintain accurate incident tickets, shift handovers, health-check reports, change records, and issue-tracking updates.
  • Support scheduled maintenance windows, standby support, and incident-response activities when required.
Technical Requirements

Essential

  • Basic to intermediate Linux administration skills, including users and permissions, file systems, service and process management, log review, and CPU, memory, disk, and network resource checks.
  • Foundational understanding of virtualization concepts: virtual machines, hypervisors, templates, snapshots, virtual networking, high availability, live migration, and basic capacity management.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, including IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, gateways, DNS, routing, and firewall concepts.
  • Familiarity with operational troubleshooting tools such as ping, traceroute, nslookup, curl, top, df, free, iostat, and log search tools.
  • Basic understanding of enterprise storage, including RAID, block and file storage, disk health, capacity utilisation, IOPS, throughput, and latency.
  • Ability to accurately execute technical runbooks and standard operating procedures.

Preferred

  • Experience with VMware vSphere, KVM, OpenStack, HCI, private cloud, or enterprise server infrastructure.
  • Exposure to monitoring, ticketing, ITSM, CMDB, or alert-management systems.
  • Familiarity with backup, recovery, VM migration, or basic disaster recovery procedures.
  • Basic Shell scripting or Python automation knowledge.
  • Relevant certifications such as VMware VCP, RHCSA, CCNA, HCIA, or equivalent.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, infrastructure support, data centre operations, NOC operations, or technical support.
  • Fresh graduates with strong Linux, networking, virtualization, or data-centre internship experience may be considered.
  • Experience supporting enterprise customers, working on-site, or operating in a shift-based environment is advantageous.
Desired Competencies
  • Strong service mindset and willingness to work closely with customer IT teams.
  • Disciplined approach to procedures, documentation, escalation, and change control.
  • Clear and professional communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
